Kalfrisa sends an incinerator furnace to Antarctica. In response to the needs of the Spanish Army in international missions, we have manufactured a KP-650 waste incinerator with vertical loading, prepared to work in low temperature conditions.
The design of this oven allows it to be assembled and disassembled in modules, which facilitates its handling and transport to places that are difficult to access.. In addition, it is mounted on a bench that allows the equipment to be stored inside a metal structure in the winter months, and during the campaign it helps to manage the waste produced at the Base
The Antarctic Campaign is carried out annually in the Spanish Antarctic Base “Gabriel de Castilla”.located in Deception Island (South Shetland Islands Archipelago) and in such other places of the Antarctic territory as may be determined, all within the support of the Ministry of Science and Innovation and to the Spanish Polar Committee (CPE.) for the development of Antarctic research.
