The energy transition and the need for alternative energy sources, which became evident in 2019, made us, at Kalfrisa, bet on decarbonization as our main line of research. Since then, at Kalfrisa we have set ourselves important challenges within the framework of sustainable development and industrial decarbonization, for which we are developing real solutions, with minimum energy consumption and capable of operating with clean and renewable energy.
This line of development is based on:
- Energy optimization through redesign and operation to reduce process energy consumption.
2. Support in digital control and data processing technologies to contribute to such optimization.
Substitution of the traditional fossil energy currently used by clean renewable energies, specifically electricity, hydrogen and biogas.
Our latest milestone in this area is the inauguration in early May of the Clean Technologies Design and Validation Center, which allows us to test all types of clean technologies, highlighting hydrogen combustion at different powers and mixing percentages up to 100% H₂ or the electrification of thermal processes.
